Here is the deal - going into the summer it is expected that you have to miss a game or two. No biggie... teams will have to factor that in.

Don't let that stop you from signing up - I think we can still have a great season and accommodate summer plans.

This is the what's the heartbeat? thread. Seems pretty dead around here these days. I do not want to see the PSL name lose its luster. A successful season needs threads with action! If people want to see the season actually come together and succeed, let's get something going. Otherwise I am thinking we may need to ratchet down to a Wednesday nite pickup league where we pick teams each nite.

PSL lately is the only game in town. The late night crowd dried up about 9 months ago. Had to start modding for something to do.

CTF had a reasonable turnout for a mediocre gametype. PSL always draws in the crowd.

I think we can pull off a good PSL still.
We may need to build in some flexibility in the rosters for no-showers.
Also look with scrutiny at those that sign up (cough, lep, cough)

I'd strongly recommend looking back at the recent leagues and contacting the captains... consider posting interest an application, then if your record looked good, pass on to the draft. Everyone has stuff come up, but to miss more than not says you can't commit to the team.

Nothing is a bigger buzz kill than having a game scheduled... and it ends up a forfeit due to attendance. How fun is that?

Smacky and Baba are right on. I'd say those with lousy attendance need to be weeded out, too.
