Dreamweaver is one of the better ones, and it works excelent on Macs.
Or, if you don't feel like putting far too much money into it, and since you have a mac, you can access to somthing like rapid weaver. Fun Stuff, fun stuff...
Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.

Learn to HTML

Post by Scyth »

If you don't know HTML you could best look for ***good*** tutorials on the net. IF you don't find any then get a book, tuts are often a lot easier.

An example of what i found and mean
If you want to look for another one, try to google "HTML free tutorial online"

Have fun io!

If you really want to try, but don't want to buy a lot of software, download SeaMonkey.

It's a browser, but it also has a composer that allows you to make simple pages.

You just got your laptop... didn't it come with iWeb? You may have what you need there...

If you have a mac and are new to this, I would strongly recommend iWeb (part of iLife). I think you should already have it on your computer. You can upload your sites easily to a .mac account or with the money you save on dreamweaver, you can get domain space at dreamhost or godaddy.

You could also get started with a blog, you can get a free one at http://wordpress.com. Blogs are easy to set up and have lots of features.

Here are a couple websites I have built with iWeb.

http://web.mac.com/adcrit/iWeb/Education/Welcome.html
(this one has podcasts, photo galleries, tons of video, a links page, etc.)

http://adcrit.org

Pagespinner is a really hot html editor too!

check "freeway" and "freeway express" they don't require code entering...unless you want to.
