The game runs at 5kbs
It lasts 15 minutes
5kbs x 60seconds x15minutes = 4500kb
So 4.5MB per game

If you are concerned do a Spybot sweep and check your firewall
for suspicsious program access

Ok Thanks Roo,clever bird you I had a feeling it was 5 meg ish.

Ok no spybots here on my Mac ! (I think)

This data thing has been ongoing for several months now.
I now turn off router while I am at work.
We have data caps here. 1gig on peak and 2 gig off peak per month, when used - the line is restricted to 64 k sigh.
The first day recorded 40 meg usage at a time I was at work !
And today there was 40 plus meg in half a day.
Just checked now and there is over half a gig used in the 3 days !

Either someones got your number
or theres a program constantly taliking to the internet

Check for open ports
and programs that dont belong
If you have a firewall - lock the internet access when away

Well - My Mac is asleep, the router is off, and at one time I even pulled the phone plug from the wall and still the meter ran !
It was bad enough when I was using torrents to find - the ISP usage meter was at least doubling the transfer (stards)
IMHO I feel its at the ISP , either the meter is still wrong or some has hacked my pass.
I have changed it several times and when I do it seems ok for a day or two.

If you have pulled the plug on your router, the only possible way is for someone to have split your connection on the pole (assuming you have cable internet)

It shouldn't be that difficult for your ISP to monitor the ip address of the machine using all of the bandwidth. A simple trace and the ISP would be able to pinpoint the PC down to a few houses. This should be a piece of cake for an ISP.

You should request for them to prove to you that it's you if you have your machine pulled from internet access in any certain day.

If you think about it from a business perspective, your ISP is losing money the longer they let someone else hi-jack your internet access.

Oh by the way, your machine can sleep while you have a live active network card.

Napalm, son.
Nothing else in the world smells like that.
I love the smell of Napalm in the morning!

Ok , Status at this time is good.
My ISP has "retuned" there usage meter again,
I have lost no data in a week with new pass and Firewall up.
I have tried torrents again and the meter seems good at this time.
Another thing ... so far - even tho I have used near double my peak data allowance I am still surfing at full speed.
Maybe my ISP has their tail between their legs.
