question about stats

so with this new "stats" thing....i know kill count will be recorded but does that include a "bot" kill or just when you kill a human player? if the bot kills are counted will we be able to see how many of a players kills are bots and how many are human kills? if not then anyone can just go into the server when no others are there and rack up 20 or 30 bot kills that will be added to his or her stats right? i figured keeping stats on each player was a good way for us to compete with each other in a "numbers" kinda way. but if someone can easily cheat with the bot kills then whats the point of trying to compete with that person in kill numbers?
