Windows 7 and broken TT

My old PC bit the dust, so I got a new PC with Windows 7.

I still have TT which I bought in 2005, on my old hard disk, which I have now installed in the new PC.

Alas, TT doesn't work anymore! All I get is a black screen, no sound no nothing.

I still have my ignition key. My thoughts were ro download the latest version of the demo, and copy my ignition key to the folder where the demo would be installed.

Would this work?

Thanks for your help!!

I haven't even seen 7 yet, but recall with vista there was a "compatibility mode" that TT had to run in. Is there something similar in Windows 7?

Try running TT in compatibility mode.

I have windows 7, and TT works without a problem, but not at first...

If you right click the Thinktanks icon on your desktop and press properties. Then click the "compatibility" tab. I have mine set to run on Windows XP.

When I first got TT on windows 7, it wasn't working either but I figured that out quickly. My graphics card drivers/folders were not installed. The second I installed them, TT worked again.

Did you download it from schockwave? garagegames? For some reason it also depends where you download it from. The Shockwave version didn't work on Vista for me.

Also welcome to planetthinktanks2. Hopefully we can get your game working.
