Lot's of room for help.

Right now there's to do's:
(all work can be done online except for graphics creation)
icon sets and others for the new boards (grahics)
article and content manipulators/writers (text editor, some bbc code or css/html knowledge would be nice)
testers - someone to log in and click every single link and make sure they all work, especially in the forums user control panels and such.
I'm sure I can think of more if we get these positions filled.

Tanks!

Yeah, count me in for whatever. I used to have some HTML knowledge, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't count on that right now.

Well, glad you asked/offered, since you are on the front lines here.
Once reloaded is live there will be an actual home page. Registered members on the reloaded site
can submit/write articles and we can hand pick which ones will make it to the home page.
This page should have a new article added at least once a week.

To get the home page started, as when we first go live, we need an actual "Welcome to PTT2" article.
Under that - 2 article leaders, TT history (the game) and PTT history (the community). Then, the page will
if we choose, split to 2 columns and have navigation to all the other article content.

As planned, "all the other article content" should be working documentation of everything ThinkTanks the game (how to's).
Army's and leagues should be considering their Intro's/Welcome articles at this point, too.
We can then push that main content to the wiki and start maintaining how to's from here to over there.
You will find most good category and sub-category filling in each of the top current forum heads.
For example - how to add new maps, how to replace basic skins....IPJoiner, all the main knowledge base.
These need to be concise and cleaned up working documents.

As you go creating new articles, try to pull out things that we can use to fill our new ThinkTanks Glossary (like our own dictionary).
Anything in the glossary will give articles backlinks in the form of little blue "I" icons inline in the article content.
All this sorta duplicate linking and backlinking will help me raise our ranks in google and other search engines, and allow us to syndicate
this content for other gamer sites and forums.

If you use an editor like MSword, I can install a Joomla! application to import MSword formated text. (bold, headlines, italic, hotlinks, paragraphs). If you don't use MSword, then use a no thrills editor and we can fluffy doodle the text to look right later.

Thanks!
Doc

The new site, save for the actual forum area that we all are used to, all other areas of the site - repository, glossary, articles, groups, walls, comments - anything that isn't forums based - will use other text editors. Users can select which text editor they will use. I will give you advanced or simple editors to select as your default. Or, if you are really good with writing code on the fly, I prefer the "no text editor" mode so the bloody editors don't eat my custom inline codes for lunch.

All these other editors, for the most part, rely on what we think of as BBC code...like the row of buttons above in this editor.
The template is based on the Gantry system by RocketTheme - so it plays nicely with any editor or macros built by RT.
You can find documentation/video on how to use their editor and macros here:
